NETS' transaction fee increase

I feel cheated. NETS, in increasing the transaction fee, is engaging in clear profiteering. The "financial analysis" your organization has done cannot hold water in any honest analysis, and so I can understand why you have chosen not to disclose it.

Does NETS actually think that the retailers will not include the additional transaction costs into the price of the products? Does the "N" in NETS really mean naive?

You have broken the social compact with the people of Singapore. I have always whipped out my ATM card to do payments via NETS. Now, I will choose not to do so because of your greed. I will tell the vendors that I am not using NETS because I do not want them to have an increased business costs.

If you want to be transparent and honest, publish the costs of your operations for all to see. We are consumers of your service.

NETS can gain the upper hand and win the hearts and minds of Singaporeans if you choose to want to do so - just publish detailed financial justification for your actions. Continuing to fail to do so will make, in one swoop, NETS join the band of corporate thieves.
